OUR STORY

Tyler's journey to bagpiping came naturally, growing up in Eastern Ontario near Maxville.

Those that have been around Scottish culture in Ontario might know Maxville best as the home of the Glengarry Highland Games and the North American Pipeband Championships.

As a child he attended his first lessons not as a pupil but as a spectator while his dad took lessons. Eventually starting lessons, Tyler learned from many well-known pipers in the area including the late David Danskin.

Tyler grew up playing in the ranks of the Glengarry Pipeband, during which time the band had success winning numerous events including winning the Atlantic Pipeband Championship.

Tyler continued playing while at school and competed with the Queen's University Pipeband.

Tyler has returned to his piping roots and competes with the Glengarry Pipeband today.
